The minutes of the October meeting are now available.

In line with government legislation for holding council meetings, the council will be holding its next meeting online at 1930 on Monday 23 November. We’ll be using Microsoft Teams: just click on this link to join. See the detailed instructions for full information.

Guidance on the restrictions from 5 November has been published. The key points are:

1. People must stay at home, except for specific purposes.
2. Different households cannot mix, except for specific purposes or being part of a support bubble.
3. Certain businesses and venues will have to close.
4. Early years, schools, colleges, universities will stay open.
5. There is more advice for those people who are clinically vulnerable;
6. Travel is restricted

The Borough Council will be commemorating Remembrance Sunday and Armistice Day remotely on social media this year. It is not yet clear whether members of the public will be able to lay their own wreaths and poppies – See the BDBC Remembrance page for details.

The lagoon facilities at The Aquadrome reopened on Monday in time for the October half-term following an extended period of closure due to COVID-19 restrictions.

The reopening of the lagoon facilities follows the reopening of lane swimming pools and the gym on Friday 24 July.
